Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but a commitment that we take seriously. The aim is to organise the company in an ecologically, economically and socially responsible manner. Our sustainability concept is based on the ISO 20121 standard and defines specific measures to use resources efficiently, minimise our carbon footprint and fulfil our social responsibility.
As the owner and operator of the most important cultural and concert centre in the city of Basel - with several hundred guests a day - our ecological footprint is not insignificant. From an ecological point of view, sustainability therefore means that we organise our operations and the maintenance of our building as ecologically and energy-efficiently as possible.
From an economic point of view, we attach great importance to far-sighted planning, cost-effective utilisation of resources, long-term cooperation with local suppliers and first-class service for our customers. In this way, we ensure that we can continue to make our contribution to the cultural city of Basel independently and in a cost-covering manner and consequently also offer attractive jobs.
From a social perspective, sustainability for us primarily means promoting cultural diversity by being open to all organisers and offering reduced rates for amateur formations. We also ensure that the Stadtcasino Basel is accessible to everyone and offer our employees attractive working conditions.
Then take a look at the summary of our sustainability concept and find out which eight core topics we want to improve in the coming months.
