After the overwhelming success in 2022 and 2024 at the sold-out Stadtcasino Basel, the Basel Proms return on November 21, 2026. Inspired by London's legendary "Last Night of the Proms" at the Royal Albert Hall, the Basel Proms invite you to their third edition. This grand celebration of classical music will be presented by the Basel Festival Orchestra, the Basel Proms Chorus, and world-class soloists under the direction of David Lawrence. The musical program offers a vibrant journey through the world of classical and operatic masterpieces, featuring iconic works from celebrated composers, such as Carl Orff, Gioachino Rossini, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Gabriel Fauré, Leonard Bernstein, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and more, as well as traditional Proms favorites by Edward Elgar and Sir Henry Wood. Dramatic pieces from the world of musical theatre, include works by Bernstein and Rodgers & Hamerstein.
Guest soloists are Wynne Evans (tenor), Angela Brower (mezzo-soprano), Amira Abouzahra (violin), Beverley Worboys (soprano), and Susan Brownfield (soprano). Join us for an unforgettable evening!
